Our cosy and comfortably furnished holiday home is located in a quiet Rhine side valley in the heart of the romantic Middle Rhine and UNESCO World Heritage Site, 1 km from the Rhine. It enjoys an ideal location for excursions to the many castles and sights in the Rhine Valley.Oberdiebach is a small village with around 800 inhabitants and beautiful old half-timbered houses. The Gothic parish church of St Mauritius, built in 1330, is also worth a visit, and winegrowers offer the Riesling wine typical of the region. Hiking trails in and around Oberdiebach with wonderful views of the valleys, the Fürstenberg ruins and the Rhine invite you to go for walks and hikes.the "Rheinburgen" hiking trail runs directly behind the holiday home.a special attraction is the hiking trail to the Exmoor ponies living in an open pasture landscape.there is a lovely playground near the holiday home for our younger guests.Living room: Large leather seating area that can be pulled out as a sofa bed (sleeping area 1.20m x 1.90m), 4 leather armchairs, 2 footstools, wall unit with glasses and games, coffee table, large floor lamp, carpets, TV, DVD player, CD player with radio and cassette deck, small wall safe.Bedroom 1 (red): Double bed with 2 bedside cabinets, 1 single bed with bedside cabinet, wardrobe with mirror, cosy seating area, wall-mounted wardrobe, TV. Bathroom 2: Vanity unit, mirror cabinet, stool, 2x hairdryer, bath towels, hand towels, toilet paper, cosmetic tissues. Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery, cooking pots, pans, fully automatic coffee machine, coffee machine, egg cooker, kettle, toaster, blender, electric knife, blender, can opener, cosy dining area with corner bench and chairs, kitchen buffet and kitchen unit. Dish towels, washing-up liquid, dishcloths, sponges, dishwasher tabs, bin liners and Zewa are provided. A small selection of spices such as salt, pepper, paprika, curry, sugar and tea is available.A terrace with garden furniture, a bench, a large table and a barbecue is at your disposal. Should it be very hot, you can shade the terrace with an awning.There are 3-4 car parking spaces directly at the holiday home.Sights in the surrounding area: Not far from Oberdiebach (approx. 2.5 km) is Bacharach with its historic old town. From here, there are many opportunities to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. For example, with a boat trip along the many castles, to the famous Loreley rock, or up the Rhine towards Bingen/Rüdesheim. The beautiful cycle path along the Rhine, which you can reach from Oberdiebach in 5 minutes, invites you to cycle tours with many sights and breaks on beautiful Rhine beaches. The Rhine Valley also offers a variety of hiking opportunities with wonderful views of the valleys and the Rhine. We have the "Rheinburgen" hiking trail on our doorstep. The famous "Rheinsteig" hiking trail runs along the right bank of the Rhine. You can reach Bingen by car in 15 minutes. Here you have the opportunity to cross over to the other side of the Rhine by boat and visit the charming wine town of Rüdesheim with its famous Drosselgasse. For families, a visit to the Hunsrück High Game Park, 13 km away, is well worthwhile. The Lauschhütte climbing forest, 15 km away, also provides adventure. Leisure pools are 10-15 km away. From July to September, the fireworks spectacle "Rhine in Flames" takes place in several towns in the Middle Rhine Valley.There is a discount for children up to the age of 12.
