Surrounded by olive groves, orchards and fields, it offers wonderful natural impressions at any time of year. Hiking trails lead you to a variety of sights, such as the Tamassou reservoir, the monastery of Agios Irakleidiou, the royal tombs of Tamassos and many more. The ancient village centre of Pera Orinis is under UNESCO protection.
