Excursions can be made to the Poppi zoo park, the Verna Sanctuary, the Camaldoli hermitage and the Casentino national forest park. Florence and Arezzo are 50 minutes away by car, Siena 80 minutes. From Arezzo it only takes an hour and 5 minutes by fast train to Rome, so day trips to the capital are also possible.
