Leaving the town centre, via a stepped ascent, one can reach Chiavari Castle, located on a hill near the northern section of the ancient walls. It has been privately owned since 1913, but it is possible to admire it from the outside. Parallel to the beach, a charming promenade runs along the seafront for about 2 km. It is an ideal place for walking, jogging and taking pleasure breaks in one of the typical local restaurants. This scenic promenade connects Chiavari with the marina.
