Our house Ostseedüne is located in the beach park Baabe, on Germany's largest and certainly most beautiful island 'Rügen'. The house offers 55 square metres of space for 4 + 2 people. The water is just 50 metres away. As a visitor you will find naturalness and tranquillity in many places. The seaside resort of Baabe is the oldest village on Mönchgut, dating back a good 750 years, and is situated on an isthmus in the biosphere reserve. This location means that Baabe is surrounded by all the different types of landscape that can be found on Rügen - deciduous and coniferous forests, hilly Bodden landscapes and the unspoilt nature of the Baltic Sea coast. When the weather is fine, Baabe's beach invites you to sunbathe and romp around in the shallow water. Take a long walk in the rough season and then stretch out your tired limbs in front of the crackling fireplace - a nice book or a glass of wine in your hand - just do what you feel like doing.Rügen - a fascinating landscape, majestic sunsets and the vastness of the sea have always magically drawn artists and writers here. Here they found a home for their longings for nature and unadulterated life. Baabe is a quiet seaside resort with a sandy beach up to 25 metres wide. Bathing tourism only really took off here in the 1920s. There are still a number of thatched fishermen's houses in the old village centre, such as the so-called sugar loaf house from the 17th century. The village is only 50 m wide in places between the Bodden waters of Moritzburger Beek and the Baltic Sea. All of this can be explored on a trip on the Raging Roland or by bike. Cafés, restaurants and small shops of all kinds line the lovingly laid out Strandstraße. It invites you to take a stroll, but also to linger and browse. The health centre with its wide range of massage and wellness services also offers on-site spa treatments. The deposit serves as a security deposit and will be transferred back to the specified account within 14 - 21 working days after departure. Note on visitor's tax in Ostseebad Baabe, since 2021 the day of arrival and departure counts as one day per person subject to visitor's tax (e.g. 7 days booking = 8 days visitor's tax per person).
