Baabe is located in the Mönchgut Granitz biosphere reserve in the south-east of the island of Rügen. Surrounded by water, forest and a wonderful white sandy beach, up to 40m wide in places, Baabe offers ideal conditions, whether you want to spend your holiday being active or lazing around. Baabe has an annual average rainfall of just 600mm, making the Mönchgut region the region with the lowest rainfall on the island of Rügen. The winds coming from the west have a cloud-dissipating effect on the island and thus prevent precipitation. The maritime climate is a stimulating climate with intense sunshine and a high salt and iodine content. Daily walks on the beach ensure that many people can really breathe again.
