Relax with family or friends near the hilltop village of Mirmande, close to the Drôme valley, between the Vercors and Provence. Discover the good life of the region and its natural, cultural and gastronomic assets! The Sources de Mirmande farm offers a single self-catering gîte for 10 to 11 people. It's the ideal place for families or friends to enjoy a peaceful holiday close to nature. The gîte is located on our organic farm, in a protected, natural environment. Animals: adorable dogs, cats, chickens, horses, donkeys... and lots of natural biodiversity! These former farm outbuildings have been restored and converted into a comfortable home. Ground floor: kitchen, lounge and dining room, bathroom with bath and WC, separate WC. Upstairs: 4 bedrooms, shower room and upstairs WC. Sleeps 10, plus an extra single bed. Two cots are also available, as well as childcare equipment. In the heart of our 6-hectare property, you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the view of the hills and valley. You can first enjoy your holiday on the gîte's terrace, which is fully enclosed and private, and bordered by the fish pond. An arbour will shelter you from the sun during your meals outside. You can also relax on the sun loungers. On the other side of the pond is the garden, also enclosed, with access to the swimming pool. On the grass or in a deckchair, on the hammock, in the sun or in the shade of a tree, relax or play with the family! The swimming pool, which is fully enclosed, is a former irrigation basin that has been converted into a swimming pool. Its dimensions, 18 x 4 metres, are ideal for swimming laps, but also for group games and entertainment. Steps in the corner allow you to enter gradually or simply sit down at a shallow depth. The pool is 1.5 to 1.7 metres deep. You can jump or dive from the esplanade at the back, or even soak up the sun on a deckchair. Get some exercise on the trampoline, swing or trapeze (also suitable for adults) or on the slide for the kids! In the farmyard you'll find a table tennis table and the chance to play pétanque.Please note that sheets and towels are optional extras, as is cleaning at the end of the rental period. No smoking. Pets are not allowed, except with special authorisation. Check-in time is 18:00. In cooler weather, firewood for the stove is provided. Practical information - sheet sizes: In the four bedrooms, you will find 2 large double beds (2 mattresses 140x190 cm), two single beds that can be combined to make a double bed (2 mattresses 80x200 cm or 160x200 cm), four trundle beds (4 mattresses 90x190 cm) and a folding bed (1 mattress 90x190 cm). Duvets are available: size 220x240 for the double beds, 140x200 for the single beds. Pillows are 65x65 cm.Our farm is nestled in a small valley, surrounded by forested hills with many shady hiking trails and a permanent, picturesque stream. As organic farmers, we are sensitive to and do our utmost to preserve biodiversity: we mow our lawns mainly with horses, let wild plants grow as much as possible, and appreciate all insects and other wild animals... even spiders, which play an important role in managing midges and other insects. We'll be delighted to show you these marvels, such as the rhinoceros or the cetoines, the praying mantis, crop helpers such as hoverflies, numerous butterflies such as the Spanish tobacco or the flambé, the laughing frog, birds such as the wren, bats that nest on the farm... If you pay close attention, you might even spot our hedgehog, the nightjar, the toad or the orvet!This gîte is located in the heart of our organic farm, where we grow seasonal fruit and vegetables for you to enjoy. In front of the gîte's enclosed terrace is a fish pond. The garden with the enclosed swimming pool is below the pond, visible from the terrace. The swimming pool is shared only with us.The gîte is situated halfway between the pretty villages of Mirmande and Cliousclat, at the gateway to the Drôme provençale. Mirmande is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. It's a hilltop village built of old stone, with an undeniable, authentic charm. It was chosen for the filming of Nils Tavernier's "L'histoire du Facteur Cheval" in 2017! Here you can stroll in peace and quiet, discovering different artists (sculpture, painting, pottery, glass beads, sewing, local craftsmen, etc.) and good restaurants and bars. Cliousclat is a tiny, almond-shaped village, also perched on a hill, renowned for its pottery, traditionally linked to the presence of clay in the neighbouring hillside. Here you'll find traditional potteries, including the famous Grande Poterie, listed as a Historic Monument. The local environment is very special: you are in a small hilly area spread over 5 communes, mainly made up of forests and small, intimate valleys. There are many hiking trails, and a race is held every year in the massif on the last weekend in March: the Trail de Mirmande. There are many other hilltop villages nearby, including Marsanne, Grâne, Autichamp and La Laupie. An accrobranche course is 5 km from the gîte. The Drôme-Ardèche region offers a wide range of cultural (concerts, theatre, châteaux, etc.), natural (Saoû forest, Drôme and Ardèche valleys, Vercors, caves, etc.) and sporting (water sports, hiking, cycling, horse-riding, etc.) activities.
